You’re working at your desk for hours. As you work to meet your deadlines and get into that focused zone, your back slowly hunches forward until your eyes are inches away from your computer’s screen and your shoulders are touching your ear lobes. We’ve all been there. Maybe It’s just me? There are only so many ways to adjust our seated position before we give in to the hunching. Our bodies can only take so much stress in one sitting, so work is often prioritized before healthful seating habits. That’s why BeYou, the endlessly transformative chair from Bravo Tribe, was designed. The team conceived the chair’s idea for the fact that most of us have pretty unhealthy relationships with our chairs, BeYou was designed to reignite your laser-sharp focus and intuitive body movements so you won’t ever have to sacrifice your physical comfort for work again.

BeYou is a “transforming chair that adapts to you,” which means that whatever seated position is calling your name, BeYou will adjust accordingly. The spirit of this chair and what makes it so special is that it isn’t fixed by any means, it was designed to be ever-changing to meet your growing needs. The convertible chair is cushioned with soft and durable fabric that wraps itself over a double layer of foam for a bouncy and form-fitting seat rest. Oak veneer coats the exterior parts of BeYou so that the chair not only conforms to your body but also your room and office, or wherever you choose to position your BeYou chair. The quick-release hinges that switch the chair’s positions and presentation are user-friendly in that they operate through simple, intuitive mechanical movements. The hinges work to reveal over ten different positions into which BeYou can transform. Auto-lock wheels keep BeYou mobile on the floor and were built to withstand constant movement and heavyweight loads, allowing for swift turns and motion on either carpet or hard surfaces. You can also opt-out of the wheels for some fixed casters that keep BeYou grounded and stuck in place.

Another special aspect of BeYou is the winged feature – the armrests that frame the chair’s seat can fold out into extended wings that increase the seat’s sum area so that you can lounge, lay down, or sit however you so choose. Additionally, BeYou’s backrest can fold into an elevated seat that allows users to sit up taller or use it as a supplemental armrest position or tabletop for your laptop. Each adjustable part of BeYou reshapes in ways we’ve come to expect in office chairs: simple, quick-release hinge mechanisms, sliding levers and turning knobs that click into place. BeYou can transform into more than ten different positions and can manage an overall weight of up to 400lb so that you won’t ever feel like you have sacrifice your physical comfort for workday focus.

Speaking to the inspiration behind BeYou, Bravo Tribe’s lead designer, “We sit in an office, we sit working from home, we sit down to relax, we sit while eating. But despite our years of experience, we suck at it.” Bravo Tribe took the urge, we all feel when seated, to toss and turn and made it the core of BeYou’s purpose.
